Some points to remember if you want to become an AICOL Homestay:

If you have a room with twin beds you can host two students in the same room if they are from the same family, friends, or in the same study tour group.

As we are famous for our Young Learner programs, daily transport to and from our school in central Southport is usually necessary.  Car pooling can sometimes be arranged.

Students need to be provided breakfast, packed lunch and evening meal.

If you are considering becoming an AICOL homestay please remember the student/s will ask to see photos.  The room you are offering needs to be neat, tidy and inviting if you want to attract the students.  The house or unit does not need to be big but it should present as clean, tidy and well organised.  The same applies to photos of the outside area.  A good family photo will also help students to select you as their host family.

A mattress on the floor or a bed in the garage is definitely not acceptable.

For more information please see our Gold Coast English School Homestay page.  You may also call on 55 311 989 (office) for an obligation free chat.

Homestay is a great way to meet new people and make new friends. Perhaps your overseas student or teacher will invite you to visit them in their country?
