Pathways to Education

What are Pathways to Education?

It describes the different paths students can choose as they move into, through and out of the education learning system.

Pathway to Education

AICOL Gold Coast English School accepts students with no English through to Young Learners, Primary School Prep, High School Prep, English for Academic Purposes including IELTS, FCE and CAE.

Pathways to High School

Study Australia confirms that if you don’t meet the entry requirements to get into the course you want in Australia, there are many pathways that can help you get to where you want to go.

AICOL is an English Pathway Provider for all 94 Queensland State Government Schools accepting international students.  There are 14 State Schools on the Gold Coast.  Education Queensland International (EQI) will issue a package pathway offer for prospective students wishing to study a High School Preparation (HSP) program with AICOL prior to their entry to an EQI school. Students need to meet all EQI entry requirements for a package offer to be issued.

Our HSP course  is also a pathway to many of the Gold Coast Private Schools which accept international students. Students need to meet all of the school’s entry requirements for a package offer to be issued.

Pathways to Vocational Courses (VET)

Vocational courses are rapidly gaining in popularity because of the skills based training which provides students with a competitive edge when seeking job placement.

A pathway program allows direct entry from one education provider’s course to another education provider’s course with no further entry test needed.

An international student may wish to enrol in a vocational course and is  required to meet a certain English language level to enter.  AICOL English school has no English level entry requirement and  provides a pathway for international students to study at TAFE Queensland (Technical and Further Education).  AICOL also provides a pathway to some private vocational providers such as Capital College.

Pathways to University

TAFE Queensland graduates are eligible for credit transfer that can save up to a full year off your university degree. TAFE partnerships with top universities mean you will graduate with a prestigious university degree, as well
as the hands on skills of a TAFE qualification.  You will graduate ahead of the pack with academic knowledge backed up by real-world skills.
