Visa Options – Australia

NOTE  There have been significant changes to The Department Home Affairs information regarding visa options for entry into Australia for tourism and study.

From 1 July 2024, holders of a Visitor Visa in Australia will not be able to apply for a Student Visa onshore.

From 1 January 2025 onshore applicants can no longer use a Letter of Offer; a Confirmation of Enrolment is mandatory at the time of application. The Student Visa (Subclass 500) application charge increased to AUD 2,000.

Students must prove financial capacity and there is increased focus on “genuine student” criteria and tighter integrity checks.
