English Pathway
Sometimes we are asked “What is an English Pathway?”
An English pathway indicates an agreement between an English school and an education provider. The education provider requires a student to have a stated English level before it will accept them into their course. The evidence required can be in the form of a recognized English test such as IELTS, CAE (Cambridge), TOEFL, PTE etc or an Assessment from an English school with a pathway agreement.
A pathway agreement allows direct entry to a range of institutions such as Education Queensland International (EQI) schools, Private Schools and TAFE Queensland without the student having to sit an external test. In other words, the English school can certify when a student’s English has reached a level which allows them to move to the next institution.
AICOL is an English Pathway Provider for students wanting to enter a State High School or Primary School or to go to a TAFE (Technical and Further Education) provider.
Education Queensland International (EQI) issues package offers for prospective students wishing to study a HSP program with AICOL prior to their entry to an EQI school. Students can enrol in AICOL’s HSP program to meet the English Language requirements for entry into EQI’s High School programs.
Many Gold Coast Private Schools also issue package offers with a provider of a HSP program or a Primary Schools Program (PSP).
